| Basement Showcase Recently, I was visiting some friends that had completely redone their basement. They had incorporated some neat ideas, and it got me thinking about your question. I had a thought that might be of interest to you. If you didn't have any specific theme or central use for the basement, why not use it to set up a fabulous display of some really unique antique furniture. Many, many treasure hunters enjoy finding quality pieces, but don't really have the place to show them off. If this idea would work for you, you could design a beautiful showcase of items that fit your personality or style. Just thinking of it makes me really jealous I don't have such a space! I guess that cleaning out the basement, buying the lumber and tools and framing the walls are all part of initial phase for redone the basement. Just remember one thing please avoid the kind of clutter that we negatively associate with a basement-the place for storing junk. |
