Wet moldy furniture

All the furniture in my basement feels wet or damp and smells of mold.. my basement doesn't seem to be leaky or have water or moisture anywhere on the walls or floor. I am afraid if I take out the furniture there will be nothing to soak up the water and the floors and walls will become moldy... but the furniture is pretty icky.
