Our grandfather clock

In the beginning I just didnīt notice it. I heard its chime a few times every day and went about my business normally.

One day I went to a friendīs house, I barely remember that day but itīs there somewhere.

We were playing and I looked for the grandfather clock in his house, and didnīt see it. So I realized that not everybody has one of those.

I began to see ours as something very special. I still donīt know exactly where it came from. There are stories about that. Some say my grandfather won it in a poker game, but itīs not certain.

All I know is that I have it now and it is a prized possession.
