Silly Sally from the middle of nowhere -

Still trying to decorate the stone fireplace here. The stone fireplace is absolutely gorgeous; please don't mistake me. But it doesn't have much of a mantle. What it does have isn't very wide and the stone is uneven. I have two Willow Tree Angels on the flattest stones right now and at holidays I put out my Peanuts train for that holiday.

What would you do?

Hi I also have a stone fireplace with a very small edge for a mantle. I decorated mine with ivy crawling up the side, rod iron clock, candles and pictures. During the holidays, I hang a big wreath in the middle, place in pieces of pine and berries, and I always have wood for my fire displayed. I found that mixing the textures and "natural" materials really compilments the stone.
