Carpet in the Kitchen When we bought our house there was carpet in the kitchen. I personally don't like carpet in the kitchen. When I was growing up my parents had it in their kitchen too. It was a light tan and it showed everything. If you spilled even the littlest thing it was so hard to get out. So when we looked at the we bought and saw that carpet I was like yuck. Well it obviously can be replaced. The family before us had 4 kids and the carpet was pretty worn out. We finally replaced it with hardwood laminate floor. We actually did the kitchen and the adjoining room, which this room doesn't really serve a purpose. I mean it has our shoes and a huge bay window but there is literally no furniture in there. It is more like a room just to get from the kitchen to the living room. Anyway we love the new floor. It is so easy to clean up. With pets and kids there was no way I was going to be cleaning up carpet after spilled milk etc. It looks so nice too.
It seems sooo strange to me for a kitchen to have carpet. It just does not make sense. Kitchens can get really dirty so that just doesn't work! I love hardwood floors, good job :)
I have never heard of carpet in the kitchen. How strange. Carpet in the bathroom is a great idea and I love that with tile in certain key areas, but not in the kitchen. I'm glad you love your new floor. What you did sounds great!
