Is there a right or wrong way to decorate our nursery room?

My husband and I will be having our first born after seven months. Exciting right? We already have so many plans for our baby, a dream come true indeed.

He has already set up a nursery room for our coming blessing. The room will also serve as his room when he grows up. We are really new to this kind of stuff so we were wondering if could there be wrong ways to go about decorating our first child's nursery room, like what paint and decorations to use?

Congratulations for your first baby, it is indeed exciting. The fact that the upcoming baby is your first born, you should not limit your decorations to just this or that. Try to explore, see some magazines and get some ideas online. Be fun on creating a nursery. Your baby would have just small time to stay in there so make the most out of it. Good luck and congratulations again.

Congratulations on your first child! Decorating your first nursery is going to be such an exciting and creative project! I would not limit yourself to any one color or style! The only suggestion that I have is for the painting. Since you are planning on turning the nursery into his room I would advise you to keep it neutral. Paint is the only major permanent aspect of a room, so try and steer away from anything trendy or too elaborate.

Choosing a theme for the nursery can be a big problem. After all, is an idea that probably will marry a while. There are many ideas you need to face when trying to determine what to choose for your baby.

The first question in your mind can be a gender issue. Will it make a gender specific issue, such as fire trucks or fairies? Maybe consider a gender neutral, as Winnie the Pooh and animals in bright colors.

The issue of gender can be difficult if the ultrasound does not give a definitive answer. There may also be problems if the baby is going to share a room with an older brother of a different genus. In this situation, you may want to choose a color theme to separate part of the baby's room with the fourth brother.
