| Answers: Black Mould is appearing on my brand new Oak front door? When I installed my new front door I rubbed it down and gave it two coats of outdoor furniture oil but since it has rained small black dot mould has appeared everywhere .What should I do to stop this? |

Did you ever get an answer to this? In the Pacific NW we specialize in mold(joke). I end up with black mold on my deck every year. After trying several expensive and only moderately effective products, I now use a weak solution of water and bleach. The idea is to start weak, so as to not ruin the finish. But enough to kill the mold. Try a small spot first and see what it does. |

I do not have any ideas yet on decorating and stuffs and so if you can share here any good tips and suggestions regarding my concern then that would be a lot of help. | It is just so nice to see that you have very nice outdoor furniture which can catch the attention of people passing by. It is also important to maintain the cleanliness of the place outside your house. Putting good tables and chairs are really attractive for many people. In my case, I learned to put benches near the trees as well as wooden outdoor furniture. I enjoy arranging them. |
| Are you sure they are just black molds and not termites? You should have it treated immediately to prevent them from spreading. Try getting a wood spray that will treat your wood and see if its condition will improve. Then you can coat it with varnish to stop those black molds from recurring. You can also consult a wood furniture expert if this still doesn't work. Maybe they know other wood treatments. |

I live on the South Carolina coast, and maintain a oceanfront condo. Because of the moisture Mold is always a problem. We wash down using a combination of ater and Clorox. It works every time. |

What about using a solution of water and Hydrogen peroxide? What about an ozone machine to regularly blast the mold spores out of the air and hidden places? Or running a UV-C fluorescent bulb on a imer in the room for 30 minutes once a month (with NO ONE in the room or looking at the bulb). |
